Yes, all 3 of them! When they all meet it will be like celebration of some sort.
One in my mother in law house, another in my sister in law house and one of my mine. When we all gather in my mother in law house, it will be gathering for them as well. And when I went to my mum house, it is the same story as well.
But honestly I had enough of these maid business. The bad outweigh the good hands down. Getting a really good maid is like winning lottery, it is all luck and it very rare, it only happen to a friend of a friend of a friend, it sounds almost like urban legend.
If I have a choice, I would like to do away with this maid business, but I have no choice since me and my wife are working. It become a necessity to almost every working couple. Nothing can be done about that.
Sometime you feel so irritated with their stubbornness that you feel like wanna shout, but I remain calm, since they are looking after the kids and cook for us. We don't wanna make them mad, I tried to talk nicely, normally, certain maids listens, certain just ignore and goes on their business as if it is their own house! Having a maid will really test your human management skill. Seriously I don't like this maid thingy one bit.
Yes it is nice when you come home after work, the house is all clean, clothed washed and folded and sometime even dinner is ready, but at some time I feel like I am loosing connection with my own house. Last time we use to do everything in the house, we know where things a put. But now, I had to ask the maid about stuff, she knows more than I do. Sigh....
And, this doesn't include bureaucracy nonsense and if you got a agent form hell only care for money. Last month alone I have made countless journey to Putrajaya Immigration to renew permits for these maids countless time till the counter lady recognizes me.
I guess I will endure this for for more years, till my wife can be a full time housewife.... (if I could earn enough to support that is.....)

Sleep? Deprieved...
They are people who will be in dreamland the moment their head touches the pillow, my wife for example. And there are people who will be tossing and turning for few hours before falling asleep, me, for instance.
There is really nothing I can do about this. I have tried everything I can think of. Cutting of caffeine, tire myself in gym before bed, or avoid certain food. Nothing works.
Since I had to life this problem, I need to improvise on the situation. Here is what I do:

Since I had to life this problem, I need to improvise on the situation. Here is what I do:
- Imagine that I am in a spaceship that cruising smoothly in outer space. I normally will be USS Enterprise. I know I am such a geek, but this what I have been doing since hmmm my teenage years. It always help me sleeps. It seems that before Captain Picard is disturbed form his peaceful slumber, of an yet another attack of Klingons, he look so peacefully asleep.
- When I really could'nt sleep, I stopped looking at the time. It is more physcological than anything. If I keep on looking at the time and I realize that I only fall asleep at 4 am for instance, I will feel tired and week next week, because I know the fact that I only fall asleep at 4. But If i hadn't seen the time, I'd never know the time, I might have fallen asleep at 5 or maybe even 12. I will never know! So physologically I still fresh in the morning. Silly, I know.
- I think about the nicest thing that I did that day that I am proud off. It really helps. It doesn't have to be big, it can be really small stuffs and sometime even silly. It can be something you settle for good at work. Or somehing I did home, like DIY stuffs, or something cute my daughter did. Whatever keeps you in happy thoughts.
- If all doesn't work, well guys, at the end, you know what the best way to make you tired and sleepy ;)

Slumdog Millionaire
People people people,
Listen to me, GO WATCH THIS MOVIE! it is not often movie like this is made. This is kinda movie that make you think about it even after hours/days you have watched it.

I felt sad, happy, angry all sort of emotion mixed and mingled together watching this movie. This depicts the true love story with even truer depiction of poverty in India as a background. All this while, while watching all the song and dance Bollywood movies, we never actually realize the true state of poverty in India. This, off course isn't a Bollywwod movie, it is by UK director, even the cast I think mostly UK born Indian.
It has been nominated for OSCAR, most blog I read syas this is definate a winner and my favourite composer, AR RAhman, has been nominated as Best Music Director for this, so what else I can say?
From IMDB:
Whats the movie about?
A Mumbai teen who grew up in the slums, becomes a contestant on the Indian version of "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?" He is arrested under suspicion of cheating, and while being interrogated, events from his life history are shown which explain why he knows the answers
Awards: Nominated for 10 Oscars. Another 60 wins & 29 nominations. more...

People Don't Change?

I am done with updating the template. The XML thingy is fun once you got the hang of it. The widgets are cool too, make blogging so much more easier.
While updating the template, I was going through all my older posts in order to label each entries for easier search later on, so I read each and every entry I made since the day I started blogging. It just struck me how much I have changed and how much my life has evolved!
All this while, I thought I never change since the day I was born, I mean, the way I think, who I am, the way I see think. I thought I am pretty much constant through-out. But After finish reading my own blog, I had to disagree. PEOPLE CHANGE OVER TIME.
They are some entries I don't even remember entering and there are some entries seem so alien to me it might as well been written by some0ne else. It is so weird to read them all back. Some entries bring back memories, some entries I just can't seem to relate to anymore. Somehow it give me some degree of perspective in life, where I am from and where I am heading.
Who ever says blogging is waste of time and useless is clueless what they talking about.

Maintenance in progress!
Yeah, my resolution this year was to blog more, but 10 posts in January? and all of them about car, even I feel sick reading it!
I am kinda trying out new template now, so this blog gonna look bit shitty for now. I upgrade to XML, but man, I know nothing about XML, still learning. So I switched back to HTML for now.
Hope I will come up with prototype by weekend ends.
Chau!

Finally, my new car!
Collected the car on 23rd, one day before Daaniya's birthday, so this is kinda Daaniya's Birthday gift, (she can't cant drive anyway, so it I am safe!)
Daaniya Posing with her 1st birthday gift! (She doesn't seem to look happy does she?, perhaps she thougt he daddy will buy her a BMW ha ha)
It is just the feeling getting into the new car that I can't describe. And the smell! the smell of a new car is the best smell there is! So I wont be putting any car fragrance till the new car smell wears off!.
I fall in love with the dashboard, when you driving at night its feels like you a piloting a plane! It look so futuristic.
The drive itself is just so smooth, you can't tell if the engine is running if the car is stationery ( I guess this applies to all new cars)
I really can't write a decent car review soince I am not exactly a car person, but this car IS GOOD!

Love at first sight Part 2
That's what happened to me. I was so convinced that City is the car for me! But then, there was CIVIC, just parked there in the show room, in it own silence elegance, its already command respect who those who just even looked at it. Once you sat in it and touch the dashboard, you will fall for it.
So at that spur of the moment, me and wife decided it is CIVIC we are getting. Off course I got to fork out more, but it WORTH it!
CIVIC is my true love now ;)

Love at first sight Part 1
Some guys swear that the found their true love or soul mate but only to discover they found 'another' soul mate a week later. Some guy fall in love with but commit to another. So there is no assurance that what we thought as our true love still will be the true love we thought some time later on in our life.
This is what I have learnt recently, things not always what we thought it would be. what we thought as our love might be just infatuation, we just need some time to pass before deciding it if it is for us or not. Never be too sure of your taste, it fluctuate, give it time!
More will be revealed in Part 2.........................

Carless Person
I have sold my car. I wouldn't have thought when I woke up that morning (13th Jan), that would be the last day I would be driving my car. Initial plan was just to send the car to show room for inspection only. But the used car dealer wanted the car there and then!
He offered slightly better price than the rest, so why the hell not, he paid right then. I wend back home for a while to empty my car and give a hug and kiss (no really). And it was SOLD just like that! Had no idea the whole process took like just few hours.
Then I booked new car right then.
Now I shall patiently wait for the arrival of the new member of the family.

Why?
Why new car? I know I know, in my previous post I promised to myself to use my current car for 10 years, so I have 2 more years to go.
It's just that in the past 2-3 months I have spent about 2k++ on repair work alone, all for the same problem, water leaking from the engine block.
Changed the gasket, serviced the engine, serviced the radiator all for no good, it keep on happening.
Finally the mechanic solved the prob, but he said if the same prob happens again, I might need to change the engine! I didn't get second opinion, and I think that family mechanic is honest, normally we will try to repair the part before suggesting to replace it.
It is just that I have phobia now, the engine have over heat so frequently and at worse possible time. I just don't dare to drive it on long distance journey cause I am so paranoid, it's ok if I am single, but with family and small baby, I just can't take the risk.
So, that was the chronological of events that lead me to decide to change the car.

Mawi-Ekin
I couldn't help but feeling rather sorry and a bit embarrassed watching these two's wedding reception on TV.
Wife was watching it, and I felt so sorry for her, wasting her time like that, she justified that she watching it just to see how stupid the whole thing is.
No matter how famous one get, marriage should always should remain private and personal. Gosh, letting themselves to be manipulated for the gain of others like that!!!
I truly feel sorry.
Remember Erra and Yusry anyone?
I hope only the death will do them part, Amin!

I am a Worrier.
Maybe we panicked, maybe we over-reacted, what ever was that being a first time parents we just did what we thought is the best.
Daaniya started to vomit whatever she drank since 4am. we brought he to GP at 8am, but till 10am still no changes, she still keep on vomiting. And we suspect it might something to do with the fact that she fall down from bed that night, ours is Japanese style bed, it is not even one feet from floor.
So she was admited for observation, and the paed said the vomit nothing to do with falling down, she din not have concussion, it might be some kinda virus infection. Thats was true enough, right after that me, my wife then the rest of the family got the same symptomps.
The thing is when she was vomitting, so many things went on in my mind, I started to worry. I am a worrier, I admit, I always think of the the worse.
She was dis-charge the next day. For her it is just another day spend in the ward, for me , it was something more than that.
I need to calm down and relax. I simply can't take anything for granted.

Saman
DAY 1
I thought I was quick to put on my seat belt when I saw the road block, but the police saw what I did, damn!
He pulled me over, said "Saya saman encik atas kesalahan tidak memakai tali pinggang keledar." I said 'ok'. What else can I say? beg? offer coffee money?
Once reach home I read the saman, "What?!! need to go to court and all?" I panicked already. I started to imagine me attneding court, standing infornt of the judges, lawyers and all. The usual court drama.
Then below that I read, "or you can pay the compound at bla bla" Phewww... what a relief!!!!
DAY 2
Then I asked around and people starting to scare me that this is major offence and I need to pay RM300!!!, OMG! That is I am pokai this month, with car repair, security guard payment , all coming at the same time.
DAY 3
Whats is done is done, I might as well face the music. Looked for Police station in Shah Alam, I lived here like 3 years and I dont even know where the police station is! (it is same row as TM, Tenaga and KWSP building)
I approached the counter with RM300 in my wallet, this is like just throwing money down the toilet, all my fault! As the cute police lady at the counter, handing her my saman, "Saman ni boleh buat rayuan ke Cik"
She said "Saman ni meman otomatik ada diskaun sebab encik bayar dalam 7 hari, harga biasa RM80, harga diskaun RM40" I was overjoyed, but didnt show it in my face. I paid the money looking really annoyed and left the police station with joy.
And nowadays when I get in to the car, first think I do is put on my seat belt even I was just parking the car.
Another lesson learned.

Daughter
Daughter (Loudon Wainwright III- From 'Knocked Up' soundtrack)
Everything she sees
she says she wants.
Everything she wants
I see she gets.
That's my daughter in the water
everything she owns I bought her
Everything she owns.
That's my daughter in the water,
everything she knows I taught her.
Everything she knows.
Everything I say
she takes to heart.
Everything she takes
she takes apart.
That's my daughter in the water
every time she fell I caught her.
Every time she fell.
That's my daughter in the water,
I lost every time I fought her.
I lost every time.
Every time she blinks
she strikes somebody blind.
Everything she thinks
blows her tiny mind.
That's my daughter in the water,
who'd have ever thought her?
Who'd have ever thought?
That's my daughter in the water,
I lost everytime I fought her
Yea, I lost every time.
she says she wants.
Everything she wants
I see she gets.

Roasted Chicken
This is how my famous (allegedly) roasted chickenlooks like. I made this for buka puasa for relatives other day. I have made this couple of time and it lood different every time. There is no recipe for this, I just stuff what ever available in the fridge in the chicken and throw it into oven for 1.5 hours ( followed Jamie Oliver's method as a baseline la). Kids love it!

snippets
Ceh macam blog Che Det lak ada snippets-snipets ni.
Puasa.
Puasa tahun ni macam tahun-tahun lepas jugak, bagun sahur, gi kerja berbuka dahn gi terawih. Tapi tahun ni masa bersahur dan berbuka ada budak bucu sibuk-sibuk nakjoin kitorang makan. he he.
Bazaar Ramadan kat kelana Jaya memang best. Banyak variety kat situ. Ayam golek dia sedap, RM14 sekor, tak ingat tahun lepas berapa harga dia, tak tau dah naik ke atau masih sama.
GYM.
Bulan puasa ni jgn harap la dapat gi gym, walaupun aku ada cita-cita nak lari atas treadmill lepas terawih, cita-cita tu masih belum tercapai, banyak sangat halangan. Tengok la minggu depan macam mana. Kalau boleh nak gym juagk , nak buat weight training seminggu sekali , just to maintain muscle, taku hilang strength nanti.
Politik Malaysia.
Aku dah stop ambil tahu pasal politik ni, penatkan minda jer. Aku dah malas nak baca mana mana political blog dah, feel lerated pulak, macam less on chore to do every morning. What ever happen it will happen, regardless aku amik tau pasal bender tu, so baik aku kurangkan risiko sakit jantung and stress akibat mengambik tahu pasal plitik-politik ni.
RAYA.
Shoppping raya dah buat sikit-sikit. Aku sajer beli baju yang saiz kecik sikit dengan harapan masa puasa ni berat akan turn.
After 3 tahun pindah , baru tahun ni tukar langsir, tempah kat Nagoya jer, kain murah-murah, kira ok la, for the whole house tak tinggi pun dia charge.
Daaniya.
Dah ada gigi dah , dua kat bawah, dua kat atas. Dah mula merangkak, tapi dia macam tak nak merangkak, tapi nak cuba berdiri terus. Pastu semakin manja, mesti suruh dukukng tengah malam and suruh main kereta model ferari shel tu, seronok betul dia tengok kereta ferrari tu, sungguh tinggi citarasa dia, macam daddy dia gak, hehehe

Gold
Aku memang lama dah nak tulis pasal Madu ni, tapi si Fafezh dah blog dulu pasal tu, tapi aku still nak tulis jugak, tapi yang ni bukan pasal madu, tapi pasal GOLD.
Before that aku bagi Frisolec GOLD. Aku rasa manufacturer sajer nak bagi psaiko parents dalam hal ni,As a parent biasanya semua orang akan cuba beli yang terbaik untuk anak mereka. So kalau beli yang murah, rasa macam we compromising dalam quality susu anak kita kan?
- Aku tanya paed, dia cakap "did somebody told you that the more expensive the baby formula, the better it is?" Aku diam jer, dia cakap kita boleh bagi apa-apa jer brand as long as susu tu sesuai ngan bayi.
- Sekarang ni, aku dah tak nak beli GOLD dah, aku beli Promil yang biasa. Promil Gold dengan Promol biasa jaug beza dari segi harga. Anak aku ok jer minum, so far ok jer.
Aku pun tak paham kenapa manufacturer produce 2 variety of same product, kalau betul betul dia orang customer oriented, keluar satu product jer with highest quality and reduce the price a bit.
